Hey do y’all reuse and wash your tyvek suits for lab work? If so any special sanitizer or bleach? They say single use but I’m thinking I can wash them?

P Rex looking to be a Kick Ass mushroom. Luckily NH Eric helped me out by fruiting them so I could go vacation for a week and not fuck them up. Been getting pictures but they apparently look to be almost 1 pound a mushroom. Holy shit right!? This is Milligan's hand/picture.
I'll be up at the Maine Fungi Fest at the NH Mushroom table, I hope to see some MycoWizards there

Afternoon Y'all! Just posted up a video of a conversation between MycoWizard Will MacHugh and Myself discussing the importation loop holes Chinese substrate producers are using and how we can change that with a simple survey...take just a couple of minutes and fill out the survey out here:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/substrate_survey
Photo is to catch your eye! Did you know if you pasteurize dry substrate (combo pellets or otherwise) you can then add UV treated water to the bag in the lab, spawn and set to incubate!? Can you guess which block is hydrated with UV and which is hydrated before the cook?

Been a while and I probably need to catch up on the threads. I was wondering if y’all had any background info on the JC shiitake we got recently? Media it likes, moisture content, where it came from or strong suits…?? We’ve been calling it the Jesus strain and nobody fucks with the Jesus!
Also any chance we could get y’all’s Maitake and Black king oyster in the culture club soon?! I’ve tried a number of maitake strains and I think all Of mine suck. I even stole one from earthfare haha. I’ve tried them in bag fruiting like your over production drying video both in A and horizontal filters with nothing like what y’all got! Great video!!!!!
My BKs are cut and BS as well. Y’all cultures knock the shit I have out of the park!
Can anyone provide info or links on boiler water treatment filters/systems. I couldn’t find the right thing. I’ve been really burning out a bunch of elements lately.
Also, y’all know about a company that does mushroom extraction services like powders, dual or tinctures??
Calciums role as a supplement in higher fungi...all these are worth reading.

Hey ya'll! I have a grow room question I've been puzzling over- how do you prevent a humidifier system that pulls air from outside the grow room from creating positive pressure when the exhaust fan is off?
I run a ultrasonic mist maker in a water barrel for humidity, and currently have my intake fan ducted through it to blow the fog into the air (I run an intake fan as well as an exhaust but have the intake at a lower setting to keep negative pressure). I used to run my fans continuously, so the mist maker would just turn on and off via my humidistat and all was well, but I recently picked up a co2 sensor, and now since my fans aren't running continuously, I can only humidify when they're on.
So now I think it makes sense to separate the humidifier from the ventilation system, but if I add another intake to pull air from outside into the humidifier barrel and into the grow room, the room would go positive in the case that the humidifier is running when the ventilation fans aren't.
How do you deal with this? Any humidity system will push some amount of air into the room, and if the ventilation isn't always running wouldn't this reverse the pressure? I suppose I could add another lower powered exhaust fan to balance it out, but I'm just wondering if there's a simpler way. Or maybe the airflow from the humidifier isn't enough to cause an issue, either way I'd love some clarity!
Hello everyone! 🍄
I’ve just finalized design for a new mushroom cultivation space and would love to hear your thoughts. The main idea is to use the attic as a plenum to distribute air via ducts to other parts of the space (incubation, fruiting, etc.).
📌 I’m curious about:
Is this system efficient for even air distribution?
Is using the attic as a plenum the optimal solution, or is there a better alternative?
Do you have advice for improving ventilation/structure?
PS. Im not good at drawing 🤣
Culture club question: has anyone received any of their culture clubs shipments? I paid my $295 subscription fee back in September and haven’t received anything. I love the videos and I’m happy to support all the content, but I was really hoping to get some cool cultures
