Hello fellow heathens!

I'm curious about proportional injectors for peroxide in my misting system. I currently use a 55 gal drum reservoir that feeds into a HART setup. I have been using bleach when filling the drum from an outdoor hydrant to keep the water from getting too funky. I'm curious about using peroxide as an alternative treatment.

What product/injectors are people using to inject into misting lines? I'm familiar with dosatron style fertilizer injectors but they require higher flow rates. I know I can just add peroxide to my large reservoir but I'm curious if anyone is injecting the peroxide into the misting line as it is humidifying. I've heard mention of peristaltic pumps but I don't quite understand the specifics around them.

My name is Marcos, maybe I’m the only Agaricus grower and brazilian here, but I think my experience might help someone. I’ve just watched blotch 2.0 episode and I want to share one solution I practice for about 2 years: PCC (precipitated calcium carbonate).

The principle is not to kill the bacteria, but to feed the mycelium with calcium (which in theory makes it more resistant, you can even feel the mushroom is more firm) and prevented the water on the mushroom surface to become acidic. From what I learned with other growers here in Brazil, the toxins produced by some bacteria do not “work well” on buffered solutions.

Today I apply 0,5g of PCC per liter of irrigation water. But 90% of the blotch control (for me) still is ventilation and humidity management…

2, I know you guys don’t fruit anymore.. But hoping to get more information on working with restaurants. Production organization, landing accounts, how to be more organized with it in general and Record/Data keeping for restaurants and all production in general.

Just wanted to say how much I have benefited, learned and improved my op from your content, both on the podcasts and the deep dives. It's a pleasure to contribute and I will let others know how much the deep dives are worth it. My knowledge has increased significantly and I have been able to problem solve and prevent future problems. Also came at just the right time as am building a new lab.

During the PF video (at around 9:10) the person in the flow hood dips their tweeters in what I assume is alcohol.  Are you guys dipping in alcohol between cuts?  This feels like a contamination vector to me since some nasties can survive this for some time, especially if spores - please school me - thanks!

Just finished up Thy Contamination of Doom...

Great summary all in one place, would have loved to hear feedback on time to soak bags before UP.

Like for instance pros and cons to hydrating pellets with cold water and letting sit for hour-ish then once the water relatively evenly absorbed loading into barrel/trough letting sit for 10 hrs and finally then proceeding to run the steam cycle. The goal being allowing more cold time for the hardwood cell walls (and various supplements) to take on even hydration/possibly germinate as many bacterial endospores as possible before running up to temp...

Wood technology textbooks frequently talk about the difficulty in re hydrating the wood cells once collapsed via kiln or other significant drying action as opposed to simply modifying the free water content present between those cells...

Im sure you could find some cons ?!

Hey there, I see a lot of potential in using a bag like what you guys use for your grain spawn. I think the Cordyceps peeps could really get on a bag like that because of the bottom. There's some discussion on the FB pages and there's yet to be a Cordyceps Militaris bag created. Something with just a bit wider of a base/bottom would probably be really awesome. 

My question is -are the bags you guys use available to order online and then can the company be sweet talked into making some custom bags. ☮️
